I’m extremely fortunate to be giving a lecture this coming Wednesday at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry! This pre-screening talk, “Water Men, Under Water: Theories of Invention in Tom Stoppard’s Shakespeare in Love,” is part of the REEL Science film series at OMSI. I will be chatting about how the film’s ideas of artistic invention do and don’t jive with the evidence provided by recent archaeological findings at playhouse digs in London—among other things. Lecture starts at 6:30PM, with a brief Q&A and the film to follow.
